I am investigating a technique called Chalk Ground.

It is a specialist ground that is only for Egg Tempera or Acrylic mediums.

It has a smooth very tactile finish which works well with these small pieces.

This particular work focuses on a starting point  of circuits or floor plans. As the work is small I am wanting to create a' series' and find ways to display them.

These works become a sort of 'map' to navigate, something familar but awkwardly tips the viewer off balance.
